    Today’s beauty buys

So I finally got round to buying Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water!

Has anybody tried it yet! What do you guys think?

I also bought the new Revlon Colour Burst Matte Balm in the ‘Audacious’ shade- a vibrant coral colour. I can’t wait to try it! :)

I tend to stick to MAC when it comes to lip colour, so I hope I’ve made the right choice by branching out!

    Lastly, I bought L’oreal Matt & Messy Salt…

  5. Body Shop Blueberry

I’d heard that The Body Shop had a new limited edition fragrance out,and I was thrilled to see that it was Blueberry!

I tried the Body Butter in store and it smelled delicious, but since I’m still using their peach, gingerbread AND chocolate body butters already at the minute, I decided to go for something different.

I’ve had their Honeymania shower gel before and it smelled amazing so I decided…

F*@*! the (perceived) haters, Lifehacker contributor Sean Kim says:

Believe it or not, we’re not that special. We go through our days thinking about how other people might be judging us. But the truth is—those people are thinking the exact same thing. No one in today’s “smartphone-crazed” society has time in their schedule to think more than a brief second about us. The fact of the matter is, when we do have time get our thoughts straight, we’re too busy thinking about ourselves and our own shortcomings—not others.P

study done by the National Science Foundation claims that people have, on average, 50,000 plus thoughts a day. This means that even if someone thought about us ten times in one day, it’s only 0.02%of their overall daily thoughts. It is a sad but simple truth that the average person filters their world through their ego, meaning that they think of most things relating to “me” or “my.” This means that unless you have done something that directly affects another person or their life, they are not going to spend much time thinking about you at all.

This isn’t just good advice. This is how you survive Tumblr without going insane.

"The army stationed me down South when I was younger, and I couldn’t even use the same bathroom as white people. But things have changed so much. The younger generation isn’t nearly as racist. I’ve been sitting here for fifty years. So much has changed. This neighborhood used to be all black. A white person couldn’t even walk down this street. All the races kept to themselves. Now you’ve got Indians talking to Pakistanis, blacks talking to whites, everybody is here and learning from each other’s cultures. I’ve been sitting here for 50 years. Things are getting better."

  10. Manuka Doctor

I’m a big fan of Manuka Honey. We keep a jar at home and I always put a spoonful in my tea when I’m feeling poorly or run down. It’s pricey, but worth it.

I’d heard a lot about the Manuka Doctor products, so was delighted to receive a free sample of their rejuvenating face mask!

I’m guessing the product is better suited to older skin, as it claims to make skin firmer and smooth the look of…
